Valmar Consolidates Six Legacy IT Systems into a Single, Modern Platform with Workday

The aged care and disability provider streamlines workforce and finance operations to support better care outcomes

SYDNEY, September 07, 2026 — Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY), the enterprise AI platform for HR, finance, and IT, today announced that Valmar Support Services has adopted Workday to replace its fragmented technology estate with a single, unified platform for human capital management (HCM) and financial management.

As a leading provider of disability, aged care, and community transport services, Valmar serves a diverse community of approximately 1,000 clients across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and regional New South Wales (NSW) with a workforce of over 600 employees. This transition involves consolidating six legacy systems onto Workday’s integrated environment.

This transformation provides a flexible, scalable foundation essential for operating efficiently within the highly regulated aged care and disability sectors. By unifying staffing, payroll, and finance, Valmar has streamlined its core operations whilst ensuring teams remain focused on delivering superior care whilst adopting this rapid change.

"As we continue to grow within a complex and regulated environment, we need a flexible and scalable modern foundation that allows us to operate more efficiently. Ultimately, we want to focus on our core commitment to help clients lead fuller lives and realise their true potential," said Tim Swan, chief executive officer of Valmar. "Workday has already demonstrated early benefits since our go live earlier this year, particularly by demonstrating how user-friendly the system is to adopt and by eliminating the manual, siloed processes that were slowing us down."

The deployment, delivered through a close collaboration with technology partner Kainos, was completed in May 2026. The partnership between Workday, Kainos, and Valmar was instrumental in creating an intuitive, easy-to-navigate system that enhances the workforce experience while enabling Valmar to remain agile in a complex and highly regulated industry.

Jo-Anne Ruhl, vice president and managing director of Workday Australia and New Zealand, said the partnership reflects a broader imperative facing the sector. "As aged care and disability services undergo significant transformation, providers like Valmar need tools that can scale with them and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Workday helps organisations like Valmar reduce administrative burden so their people can focus on delivering the support services that change and enhance lives."
