SYDNEY, December 03, 2024 - Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY), a leading provider of solutions to help organisations manage their people and money, today announced the availability of Workday Student in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), the first global market outside of North America to launch the AI-powered, end-to-end student management system. Workday Student is designed to offer better insights on student engagement, increase efficiency for academic staff, and fuel institutional agility.
The cloud-based system was developed with input from more than 40 institutions globally and a local advisory panel has been formed that includes the University of Melbourne, Macquarie University, and the University of Auckland, to further develop the product in Australia & New Zealand.
The expansion of Workday Student to ANZ aims to assist higher education institutions in addressing their most pressing challenges, as well as enhancing student outcomes. Workday ANZ already enjoys a strong footprint in the higher education market, with leading universities, Macquarie University, Deakin University, and The University of Queensland using its software across their HR and/or finance operations.
With Workday Student, higher education institutions can:
- Use One System for Finance, HR, Planning, and Academics Data. Workday Student integrates seamlessly with Workday Financial Management, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), and Workday Adaptive Planning to provide higher ed institutions with real-time insights into the activities across their campuses - including registration, student financials, academic planning, talent and staffing needs, changes in enrollment numbers, supplier costs, expenses, and more.
- Deliver More Streamlined and Engaging Student Experiences. Workday Student offers students mobile self-service tools to more efficiently register for courses, view bills, make payments, view grades, request an advising appointment, and more.
- Leverage AI to Increase Efficiency for Administrators. New AI features in Workday Student streamline administrative tasks by offering prompt recommendations, validating data entry, and flagging outliers.
Workday Student has already been selected by more than 140 institutions in North America. With 28 institutions concluding their implementation projects in 2024, there are now 65 institutions live on the product. These universities leverage Workday AI to adapt to the challenges of today’s educational environment, where there is increasing pressure to reduce costs, improve student outcomes, and enhance the overall educational experience.
